Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
As you know, I write by the name of Marge. It’s not the best that I could come up with but it’s the closest to my real name. After all, I’ve heard that pseudonyms are not a thing for personal blogs so I’m better off this way.
I started blogging in 2012 through my inactive Blogger account. Those are just rants and ramblings that an outspoken person like me wanted to purge so bad. Eventually, in 2014, I created another blog through WordPress, which is somewhat obligatory as it served as a project for my Film Production class.
Running two blogs at the same time kind of steered me in opposite directions, all at once, so I decided to ditch both and start a new one (a third) again. Which brings you here, my current abode.
I’d like to say that I was born to write. I started crafting short stories, poems, and anecdotes when I was a kid (probably, in 4th or 5th grade). Sooner than I thought, these stories would write me. They became part of who I am as I grow up. My goal of becoming a published novelist has become my driving force, inner motivation, and inspiration.
As a Paulinian AB Mass Communication graduate, I felt that writing is not the only thing that I’m capable of doing, so I tried directing short films (where I find myself writing the script as well), and managing the stage for variety shows and theatrical plays (where I also find myself working on scripts). My God, I also tried hosting to get out of my comfort zone.
But then it seems like whatever I do, something just keeps pulling me back to writing. Later on, I started working for the traditional print and digital media. I’m not writing literary pieces anymore. I’m not carefully skimming pages to spot plot holes anymore. I am now rewriting customer-provided content for clarity and readability. It’s a lot more stressful than I thought.
This blog is created for me to share academically helpful film and book reviews for Literature and Film students. Just don’t plagiarize anything on this site as it is not your intellectual property.
I also wanted to share some of the books and Young Adult novels that I’ve written and will continue to write. They are available in Filipino and English.
Lastly, the closest thing to my heart, to publish relationship advice. ❤
